I revisited the following day, taking accurate measurements in order to produce the detailed scale plan that would prove if she had the internal space required for the two cabin layout I had in mind. I was given the guided tour, failed to ask ALL the important questions, took hundreds of digital photos and retired to a nearby campsite in the marina belonging to Stichting Yachthaven Wartena, in order to study everything further. Much further! I revisited Vitesse the following day, taking more photo's and vaguely accurate measurements, in order to produce a detailed (ish) scale plan that would prove if Vitesse had the internal dimensions required for the two en-suite cabin layout I'd had in mind since the outset. A few nervous days passed with Fikkers pestering me daily, while I considered all possible options. Finally, (after several bottles of wine) I was sure. I had found the barge in which to create my 'Barge Nilaya' (heaven) and it was time to strike a deal...
