Diverting my attentions to the icy engine room, I now fitted the 'Webasto' Diesel central heating boiler, header tank and all important twin coil 140 litre copper hot water cylinder I'd had made by 'Newark Copper Cylinders' in the UK. The hot water cylinder (or 'Calorifier' as it is known on a boat) had the ability to heat water by using either an electrical immersion element, hot water from the ships main engine or by hot water created by the central heating boiler. Once connected and tested and with my first ever tank of hot water heated, I relocated me and my belongings to the stern of Barge Nilaya. What a happy day that was...
